👑 A little late this week for the RECAP - Well worth the wait! Watch full video here.
Friday's Power Lunch was our opening salvo to the 2,400 planned “No Kings” protests across all 50 states. There was certainly a lot of tension, because we simply didn't know what to expect. We were still reeling from the treatment of Senator Alex Padilla, the insane comments from Kristi Noem, excited about the National Guard Federal Court Ruling against Trump, and disappointed that it was in limbo by the next morning! Enough!
There are No Kings in America. We hit that moment head on with a song. Grab your tissues and your hopefulness and listen quietly to “No Kings In America” by Lisa Bastoni, with an extra special mix from Katherine! You can hear the song below.
We knew we needed to do something special to smash the notion of the birthday parade, so what better than “Queens Trump Kings.” Thinking strategically about the Queens Gambit, we are all the resistance. We are all resilient, we are all overcoming adversity, and we are all taking risks to achieve our goals of toppling the king! So we put together an amazing show with five brilliant women, or Queens, all at the top of their games!
This episode was a full house of brilliant, bold, strategic minded women. They organize, strategize, and redefine how we fight. Finally the grassroots is being seen as a part of the strategy that must be leveraged to win this fight. WE SEE YOU!
👑 Micaela Pond – The WOFA Warrior Extraordinaire
Founder of We of Action (WOFA) Indivisible, Micaela is organizing with muscle. Over 3,000 people are mobilized. Twenty bridges will be covered on Saturday with NO KINGS banners! They will also honor our Veterans and take our Flag back too. You can see their communities are fully activated. And who is WOFA, today, Women of F$%$# Action! If you want to get that pumped up, come to the Women’s Summit and see Leah Greenberg up close and personal and get inspired to do what you might have thought was impossible. See full segment here.
🗳️ Laura Brill – Register Them Young
Next up Laura Brill. A brilliant attorney who clerked for Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Laura is the founder and CEO of “The Civics Center.” It is a non profit non partisan organization that supports student led voter registration drives. Laura believes that Voter registration should be happening everywhere every day.
Laura is laser-focused on the 4 million 17–18-year-olds graduating this year. The country would change dramatically if we could register every last one. She calls voter registration “an instrument of power”—and equips schools with the tools to do it. This really is how we win the future. Listen to the full segment here as she has the data to prove the value of the work if we get it done.
The Big Finish – Three Queens, One Purpose

With that said, what were these brilliant women thinking about leading up to this moment, “No Kings Day” in America.
